#5 Tutor "Metering System" in camera by shahroll

Salam to all! :D

I did not update for a while about the camera system. This time I will give some information about the importance of metering systems in your camera ( canon, nikon or else..)..Ok lets start!

1) Center Weighted System
- Has its light sensitive cell located in the back of the pentaprism, providing the center of the frame with the greatest sensivity to light. This sensivity decreases toward the bottom and top of the frame.

2) Overall System
- The cells read the entire frame as it is reflected from the shutter curtain or the film. It tends to provide a bias of sensivity toward the center of the frame.

3) Averaging System
- Has two cells in the pentraprism that read different parts of the frame. Their readings are averaged together with a bias toward the center of the picture area.

4) Spot System
- Measures light from a small zone in the center of frame. It requires care and skill to make use of the spot. Its must be pointed at crucial areas of detail in the picture to obtain proper result. Averaging is often employed when working with a spot meter.

5) Matrix Metering
- Most modern cameras have computer-assisted matrix meering. With this feature, the meter is programmed to recognize common lighting situations and adjust the exposure accordingly. Typically the camera`s meter divides the scene into a series of weighted sectors and compares the scene being metered with the light patterns from numerous photographs in its memory.
