First time masuk conference! A-LIEP 2011 by shahroll

Hello readers!

Welcome back! Semalam aku ada mengikuti satu conference yang dipanggil A-LIEP (Asia-Pacific Conference on Library & Information Education and Practice: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities), panjang betul nama dia =D

Rajen Munoo is Head, Instructional Services and Research Librarian at Li Ka Shing Library. Rajen has a double Masters Degree in Library and Information Management. [read more: HERE]

Chrissy Tan is Senior Information Specialist providing administrative support to a team of Research Librarians. She also involved in e-learning and instructional design to create learning objects. [read more: HERE]

Ok dah kenal mereka? bukan calang-calang orang yang bagi talk dalam conference ni;

1) Librarians and Information Service (LIS) professionals interested in learning about RSS feeds as a new media application.

2) Reference and Information services librarians wanting to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in the dissemination and delivery of information.

3) Anyone wanting to learn more about RSS Feeds.

Loved it!

Apa yang diharapkan dalam conference ni pulak?
1) Design, develop and implement an RSS service
2) Transfer knowledge and skills to their workplace
3) Promote and market the service to their stakeholders through this media.

Apa sebenarnya RSS ni?

RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format.

An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed",or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. [quote: Wiki]
